DEMENTIA

What I remember about him, since the very first of the beginning, I guess, is the constant hitting. And his disbelief that I could read, when I was little. And his disbelief that I could study science, when I was older. And his way of saying no, all the time, in the most hurtful and degrading way.

What I remember about him, since two nights ago, I guess, is the way he looked when he said that it could be a cancer.
